👤 What we collect (and why)
- Name & email — from your GitHub or Google login, so you can sign in.
- Location — used to fetch weather. Automatic recommendations save the location you choose for a schedule; we do not keep a location history.
- Gender preference — optional. Stored locally on your device and sent to the AI when generating recommendations.
- Closet items — optional. Stored so AI can personalise recommendations.
- Daily usage counts — for rate limiting only. No request content stored.
- Private style feedback — local by default, or cloud if you choose. Notes, votes, and a short outfit excerpt are sent to Mistral Small when you request an editable preference summary. Saved summaries personalize Style and Shop. Manage or delete feedback in Settings.
- Shopping requests — when live search is connected, your clothing query and size go to the approved product source, and selected preferences and sourced products go to your chosen AI provider. We do not record shopping queries, products viewed, or clicks for analytics, and do not add affiliate links.
🔒 Local storage
Some preferences are stored locally on your device, including:
- Gender preference (optional)
- Bring Your Own Key — AI API key (optional, Pro/Dev only)
- UI preferences (theme, layout, spacing)
Browser preferences and BYOK keys are stored in this browser. Relevant preferences and your chosen key are sent through Sky Style to the selected provider when needed for an AI request; keys are not saved in our database. Clearing browser data removes local copies.
🚫 What we never do
- We don't sell or share your data with data brokers.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't save your AI API keys in our database.
- We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Everything about how we handle data is open source on GitHub. You can verify every claim in this policy by reading the code.
🗑️ Delete your data
Want your data removed? Just open an issue on GitHub and we'll delete everything associated with your account.
